This job listing will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill vacancies (permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time and less than half-time) for the 2018-19 school year.
- Strong personal musicianship
- Strong understanding of vocal pedagogy
- Evidence supporting the ability to achieve musical excellence through ensemble instruction and performance
- Ability to plan and implement sequential instruction for music reading
- Some positions may require an advanced knowledge of vocal jazz instruction
- Strong piano skills preferred
- Knowledge of positive behavior intervention strategies
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise students
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience working with high school aged students preferred
- Music endorsement required or be highly qualified to teach High School Choir
- Choir differential as it applies
- In some cases, the assignment may include teaching other levels of vocal or general music
- Locations, hours and FTE to be determined
- Salary based on 2017-18 salary schedule and may be subject to change
