This job listing will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill vacancies (permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time and less than half-time) for the 2018-19 school year.
- Music endorsement or highly qualified status to teach high school orchestra required
- Dedication to developing the maximum potential of student's technical achievement
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of string instruments, instructional strategies, methods and appropriate resources suitable for high school level
- High standard of teaching string technique and musical skills
- Ability to plan and implement sequential instruction for music reading
- Knowledge of positive behavior intervention strategies
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise students
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience working with high school aged students preferred
- Extra duty differential will be assigned as it applies
- Salary based on 2017-18 salary schedule and may be subject to change
